Naboo Guard
“It's funny - people always quote the lines "Your Jedi mind tricks won't work on me..." and cover their eyes. They're usually the easiest people to work on."
Matt Daniel-Baker is an International Mind Reader & Mentalist. He performs mind tricks all around the world for some of the biggest companies and best known celebrities. He uses a method described as psychological manipulation, which sounds like something straight out of the Star Wars movie franchise.
"EVERYONE WISHES THEY COULD CONTROL PEOPLE'S MINDS"
Matt appears in Star Wars Episode 1 - The Phantom Menace.
He is one of Queen Amidala's close guards and can be seen blasting his way through hoards of droids that are determined to take over the planet.
Not only that, Matt appears in the official Panini sticker album AND has an official Hasbro Naboo Guard action figure.
"I WAS WITH THE CAST MEMBERS FOR 5 DAYS"
“Four of us were walked through a battle scene by George Lucas - It was incredible to hear him call, "ACTION" and "CUT".”
Matt Daniel-Baker began life as a young actor, mostly treading the boards in plays and rehearsed readings. Then in 1997 he got a call from a friend telling him they were casting for the UK shoot of Star Wars Episode One.
Wasting no time Matt took himself straight to the casting directors and declared his intent on being part of the movie.
"DARTH MAUL BURST ONTO THE SET - IT WAS EXHILARATING"
On the film set in Leavesden, Hertfordshire, Matt spent 5 days filming with the cast. Liam Neeson, Ewan McGregor, Kenny Baker, Ahmed Best, Ray Park, Natalie Portman and, of course, George Lucas.
